Paul Neuhaus (b. 1960, Benson, MN) is an artist living and working in Minneapolis.

Raised in southern California through graduate school at UCLA, Paul returned to live and practice architecture in Minnesota in 1992. He has lived in Minneapolis ever since. Meanwhile he has maintained his connection to the visual arts. Paul is currently focused fully on painting and making art.

His work taps into recent and distant memories that inform his colorful and highly textured paintings on paper. Paul’s process of adding and removing paint leads to new and revealing spatial and formal situations to respond to. For him, these shape and color suffused environments provide implied spaces for the eye to traverse and provoke imagined and actual recollections of places and experiences.
